I have managed to set up those searches exactly as I wanted.
It turns out that it’s quite easy and quick to do.

Thanks again for your awesome plugin. 😁

I want to make it easier to set up the post and product search on my second site so I can apply those settings back to my first site. Since I’m not familiar with these technical procedures, I prefer not to touch the hosting, because I don’t think I can do it myself.

I’m thinking of creating a separate search for blog posts and placing it in the sidebar of the blog page. The main search will remain only for product search.

I’ll definitely ask for your help later, because I don’t think I can get it done on my first attempt. πŸ˜…

    Hi Ernest,

I followed your instructions, and it works perfectly as I wanted.
Thank you so much for your quick help!

However, it is a bit confusing, right? It means that when I remove ‘Posts’ from ‘Search Sources’ -> ‘Post Type Search’ the ‘Posts’ will still appear in the search filter setting, but it will be unchecked by default. Users can still search for both products and blog posts if they check the ‘Posts’ option, as long as I have indexed ‘Products’ and ‘Posts’ in the ‘Index Table’ menu. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

This is my second purchase, and I still feel very satisfied with your search plugin, even though it’s quite complicated. 😁

PS: I have a small problem. When I search for blog posts, the results appear in the search bar, but when I press Enter, it shows no posts; it only shows products.
I have set the ‘Magnifier and Return Actions’ to ‘WooCommerce Result Page’.
If I change it to ‘Result Page’ the posts will show up, but the products do not appear.

I can only show the posts in search results by enabling the ‘Show Blog and Pages in Search Results’ option in Flatsome, but this causes the results to ignore the Ajax search filter settings. The search settings become meaningless, it will show everything regardless of whether the category is checked or not.

    Best,
    Minh Do
