Search does not work as expected

Dear support,

Why is the extension not working?
I have a PDF that is made to search within .. When I search for bdn0sd21 it should return that PDF because it’s literly in it…

Your search function does not work after the configuration we have made, so I want to give our backend access to investigate why this plugin is not working as expected..

bdn0sd21 should return a result it should return this PDF

You can check that BDN0SD21 should be a result by using ctrl+ F on this page http://www.docs.viscodiesel.com/boek11-compleet.pdf and type in BDN0SD21

Hello Ernest,

Thank you for the excellent and quick help. According to your findi9ngs there are two problems:

1. Filesize
2. File content

1. I can do something about the file size. I will make sure PDF have a limit of 20 MB then
So the file size will no longer be a problem.

2. Content

Do you mean its not necessary to convert PDF with OCR ?
Becasue I did the OCR convert, because I know that you can search within PDF information that way.

I could also skip this OCR convertation and your extension still works ?

One more thing, thanks for the temporary solution, I got a beter result now when searching for example for bdn0sd21 .

There will be a lot of documents more to proces for me, so this is just the start. Can I keep using this configuration ?

Hello Ernest,

Thank you very much, at the moment I am setting up more DATA and pages .

I have decided to go for much smaller file size (1 PAGE PDF at a time) and higher quality DPI .

I have a new test page I want to fill with 200 x a single PDF on a wordpress page, For now I have added 3 single PDF documents and rerun the search index.

this is the PAGE:

First DOC in the page is directly visible here , and searchable…

I should be able to find:
BPE2B75W100/S6471

The file does not seem to be accessible from my end: https://i.imgur.com/UVI5muM.png
I tested on the server too, it recieves the same error message. Check your server configuration (.htaccess files and apache2 configs) and the firewall. There might be an IP blocking active.

Unfortunatly I cant find BPE2B75W100/S6471 with the search function…

Thank you very much, I am almost done.

So now it gets found but I have one little thing and that is for this search result there should be 2 results…

I get 1 at the moment, and that is the DIRECT MEDIA FILE (PDF) on location https://docs.viscodiesel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Pagina1.pdf

But it is also (as a test) build into a page format, so this page ( https://docs.viscodiesel.com/test-data-boek-03-c-a-v/ ) should ALSO be a result ..

Is it a setting I have not yet seen ? To include PAGES to result , because I think this was already active?

After this I will be able to build the whole system up I beleive , so thank you very much for your help! I will defintly recommend your extension to my customers. using WordPress!
