Hi i have uploaded the search onto my website, and it doesnt appear to be working great at the moment. My website is http://www.approvedvitaminstrade.co.uk and for example if i search for solgar vitamin c, it doesnt bring up the right products and that is happening with a lot of things that i am searching for. Please advise what can be done or look into it to solve the problem. Solgar being the brand and then anything i type after that, it brings up totally unrelated things. I think its a problem that the one cant search for the brand and a product in the same search.
November 27, 2018 at 1:34 pm #20128Hi,
Thank you for the details, it helps me a lot.
While it is a bit hard to tell by only looking at the front-end, I believe you need to enable and change a few features, which may help:
– Make sure to enable the Search in terms option: https://i.imgur.com/VsIWd8y.png
This will make sure, that the product manufacturers are taken into consideration.
– Change the behavior options like so: https://i.imgur.com/YzRPFz8.png
While it is usually not recommended to use a word length of 1, in this case it may help, as there are lot of vitamin names, where even 1 letter is significant.These changes should make a significant difference in results.

December 27, 2018 at 2:24 pm #20557Hi there,
Cant seem to figure out way to open a new ticket hope you dont mind.
“Hi there,
I would like to know if it’s possible to make Ajax Search Pro to display 2 custom post types on search result.
https://curtains-r-us.co.uk/adverts/
along side with
https://curtains-r-us.co.uk/shop/
So if I type in “Sample” I have one advert called sample and product called sample. I want them to be displayed together in no particular order, how can this be achieved?”
Cheers
December 27, 2018 at 3:33 pm #20560Hi!
Sure, it is possible. On the General Options -> Sources panel, you can choose which post types you want to display on the same search instance.

When I search for classified it appears without a picture. I want it to appear like this:https://curtains-r-us.co.uk/adverts/ like its displayed on this page.
December 27, 2018 at 3:58 pm #20562Hi,
Make sure that the adverts have featured images set. It looks like that the images there are from a slideshow of some sort (?), I am not sure. If there is no way to set a featured image for the adverts, then a custom code might be needed to fetch the images and add them to the results.

January 4, 2019 at 12:24 pm #20641Hi Ernest, thank you for the great response,
Another issue arised.
Regarding User Search. Result url source > Custom Scheme > Custom Url Scheme > /seller/{USER_LOGIN}
And it is showing like this.
https://jmarket.co.uk/seller/Modern%20Bar%20Stools%20UK
However the desired URL is.
January 4, 2019 at 3:20 pm #20642Hi,
Try the
Best,{USER_NICENAME}
instead, the login name can be multi string, space separated. The ‘nicename’ contains the URL friendly name.

Make sure that the search override is activated. Also note, that the WooCommerce results page is limited by WooCommerce to only display product post types, nothing else (no categories, posts, pages, users etc..).

January 17, 2019 at 3:54 pm #20810Have you ever had issues with Elementor Product Archive? Do you have any experience? I can’t imagine that being an issue
