Hi Ernest
Not sure why search no longer works; no changes were made.
1. When I enter terms, no real-time search happens.
2. After you press enter, the url becomes https://infinitusnow.online/?phrase.
Thanks,
Albert
June 2, 2022 at 9:11 am #37907Hi,
1. I tried to do some troubleshooting as we’re urgently finalising the site as we’re going live next Mon. A cloned backup had the licence which has been deactivated. Still doesn’t work.
2. I did not deactivate Lite as I had issues when I tried to do that. It was working fine for several months.
Search code: [wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite]
Debug info: https://paste.ee/p/wbcFCThanks
AlbertJune 2, 2022 at 9:30 am #37909Hi Albert,
You need to deactivate either the Pro or the Lite versions of the plugin (whichever you are not using) – they are individual plugins, but share some code, which may lead to issues like this. I am seeing the Lite version across the site, turning off the Pro will solve the problem.

June 2, 2022 at 1:21 pm #37910Thanks Ernest.
– But I got the Pro version to have more styling and search granularity so I can’t turn off Pro.
– The search button was built initially with Lite.
– If I deactivate Lite, there is only [wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite] in all search buttons.
– I did not have issues until very recently using both Lite and Pro.Blessings
AlbertJune 2, 2022 at 1:33 pm #37911Also, the client is very particular about the styling of the search button. Much time has been spent on the styling. If the button needs to be rebuilt, please help to import from Lite retaining the styling. I tried to import but the styling was very different. Thanks
June 2, 2022 at 3:18 pm #37912I deactivated Pro as you suggested. Didn’t need to get the Pro!
How do I get rid of false positives in the search results? “Minimal character count to trigger search” = 4. Pages without the characters still show up in the results causing confusion. Sources = pages only.
Examples:
a. Enter “Term” and a page with “terms” shows up correctly. But a couple other pages without “term” are also listed.
b. Enter “Sexy” and a page will still show even though the word is absent from this church site.June 3, 2022 at 10:10 am #37916Hi,
All right about that issue then.
The “term” must match a field somewhere for sure. Either a taxonomy, something within the content or a custom field – otherwise they would not show up.
Best,
The most likely cause is custom fields. Try turning off searching in custom fields, and check if that helps. Another likely possibility is the taxonomy terms, try turning that off as well.

June 4, 2022 at 8:55 am #37918You’re right, Ernest. “Sexy” is part of the text in the div class. How do I exclude searching the code which can have all sorts of random words?
– In Sources: only Search in title? and Search in content? are on. How can we search the page contents only ie excluding the code?
– Searching in custom fields and taxonomy terms were off.<div class=data-custom-id=”mpqjhforcnuwtjzmdsexympziactsbrufukt”>
Thanks
AlbertJune 4, 2022 at 9:02 am #37919Okay Albert, then it is from the stored HTML content.
The only way to get by this is by using the Pro version and the index table engine feature. That extracts the valuable keywords from the content, but removes the unwanted HTML code.
The lite version will likely have to be deactivated, and the shortcodes replaced with the pro version shortcodes.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

June 8, 2022 at 12:45 pm #37943Hi Ernest,
The site just went live and the search button is what I need to resolve soonest.
“The lite version will likely have to be deactivated, and the shortcodes replaced with the pro version shortcodes.” => I tried to import Lite to Pro but the shortcode produced a totally different design. Do you have a how to video?
Thanks
AlbertJune 8, 2022 at 2:06 pm #37945Well, if you had any customizations made (like custom CSS etc..), then those of course may not apply to the imported instance obviously. The rest should be very close to the design of the lite version.
I tried to access the site to maybe see both versions, and do a correction if possible, but when I try to access it, it says that it is not available.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko
