    Hi Ernest

Just tried the widget – http://www.globalliteracynetworks.co.uk/?page_id=181
It throws up 2 search boxes and has the same problems as the shortcode. Both are not working.

    Best regards

    Steve

Once again, please make a new search box and save it’s settings once, without saving it won’t overwrite the stylesheet files, that’s why it’s messed up. And you can’t use the same search box twice on one page, it wont work.

    Hi Ernest

Yes I did delete it – I followed your instructions – you can see that the shortcode has an id of 2 instead of 1 (the previous deleted one was id1).

    Best regards

    Hi Steve!

I know you did, I can see it from the source code. But I’m asking if you saved the search settings after creating it?
Here are the screenshots of what I mean:

You need to do this, because the seach won’t generate the stylesheet file.

Okay I’ve taken the widget off the test page (I only put it there to try out – I don’t want to use the widget as the site has no sidebars- it’s still not working any better than before and the styling is still missing.

I don’t quite understand why you are asking me to re-do the new search box when I’ve already done so – are you seeing the same page?

    Best regards

    Hey Ernest

I’ve tried something and its working – at least on the test page.

In the settings page I checked “Force inline styles” which was defaulted to Off. I turned it on and Bingo It’s functioning.

    Phew!

    Thanks for your support

    Best regards

    Steve
