Thanks Ernest.
1. You can try by typing “missions” in the search box and you’ll see 3 results with the first word as “round”.
If you enter “round”, it will say “no results”.=> “round” is almost always in the results, sometimes “thin”.
2. How do I change the colours of the drop down results’ text? They are currently blue and red.
Blessings
Albertalbert71ParticipantThanks, Ernest. The plugin is harder to use than expected so your help is appreciated.
1. I’ve yet to try the custom CSS.
2. Not the layout. As shown in my image, words like “round” and “thin” appear at the start of some search results. How do I exclude prevent such and other words from appearing in the results?
3. The Home page often shows up in the search results so we want to exclude the Home page: anglican.org.sg/
I went to Exclude/Include results and added the Page ID of the Home page. Now Home is not visible in the drop-down results but it still appears when clicking on “More results”.Blessings

albert71ParticipantHi Ernest,
The site just went live and the search button is what I need to resolve soonest.
“The lite version will likely have to be deactivated, and the shortcodes replaced with the pro version shortcodes.” => I tried to import Lite to Pro but the shortcode produced a totally different design. Do you have a how to video?
Thanks
Albertalbert71ParticipantYou’re right, Ernest. “Sexy” is part of the text in the div class. How do I exclude searching the code which can have all sorts of random words?
– In Sources: only Search in title? and Search in content? are on. How can we search the page contents only ie excluding the code?
– Searching in custom fields and taxonomy terms were off.<div class=data-custom-id=”mpqjhforcnuwtjzmdsexympziactsbrufukt”>
Thanks
Albertalbert71ParticipantI deactivated Pro as you suggested. Didn’t need to get the Pro!
How do I get rid of false positives in the search results? “Minimal character count to trigger search” = 4. Pages without the characters still show up in the results causing confusion. Sources = pages only.
Examples:
a. Enter “Term” and a page with “terms” shows up correctly. But a couple other pages without “term” are also listed.
b. Enter “Sexy” and a page will still show even though the word is absent from this church site.albert71ParticipantAlso, the client is very particular about the styling of the search button. Much time has been spent on the styling. If the button needs to be rebuilt, please help to import from Lite retaining the styling. I tried to import but the styling was very different. Thanks
albert71ParticipantThanks Ernest.
– But I got the Pro version to have more styling and search granularity so I can’t turn off Pro.
– The search button was built initially with Lite.
– If I deactivate Lite, there is only [wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite] in all search buttons.
– I did not have issues until very recently using both Lite and Pro.Blessings
Albertalbert71ParticipantHi,
1. I tried to do some troubleshooting as we’re urgently finalising the site as we’re going live next Mon. A cloned backup had the licence which has been deactivated. Still doesn’t work.
2. I did not deactivate Lite as I had issues when I tried to do that. It was working fine for several months.
Search code: [wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite]
Debug info: https://paste.ee/p/wbcFCThanks

albert71ParticipantHi,
Now everything has been filtered, Everything is “No results found”.
/**
* Add Thin Filter Ajax.
*/
add_filter( ‘asp_results’, ‘aspl_remove_thin’, 10, 2 );
add_filter( ‘asl_results’, ‘aspl_remove_thin’, 10, 2 );
function asp_hide_by_status( $results, $search_id ) {
$prefix = ‘thin’;
foreach ($results as $k=>&$r) {
if (substr($r->content, 0, strlen($prefix)) == $prefix) {
$r->content = trim( substr($r->content, strlen($prefix)) );
}
}
return $results;
