ParticipantThank you! Could you tell us which option it is?
I’ve another question, if we re-categorise the posts, do we need to delete the index table and create again?

ParticipantThank you for your reply. But I think something is broken. All our posts have categories assigned to them. You should see the category the post belonged in the search results just under the featured image in small fonts.
Try search for something like credit suisse then unselect one of the category, you will see the total number of the results doesn’t change at all.
Could you look at it more closely to see what’s wrong? I think this happens after we need to re-import the settings, after we dumped the database from another wordpress.

ParticipantThanks. If we don’t want to disable trigger live search when typing but still want people to be able to enter when the search term is less than 5 characters, is it possible to add some kind of script to make the enter work?

ParticipantI’m referring to define(‘ASP_INDEX_BYPASS_COUNT’, true); at https://knowledgebase.ajaxsearchpro.com/hooks/constants

Participant1. With post tags indexed, Total keywords: 2357141
without post tags indexed, Total keywords: 2341252Will there be a speed difference?
2. I didn’t turn on cache but I found that the first search of the day seems to be much slower than subsequent searches. Is this normal and could you think of a reason why?
3. What does Bypasses the index table keyword counter do and will it have impact on search performance? Does it only affect the index statistics at the Index Table admin page?

ParticipantThank you! We’ve some more questions.
1. We’d like to put the search results and settings in a absolute position box, which won’t be visible when the page loads and there’s no search. How do we make it so that the search settings will appear when somebody did a search and there are results?
2. So the “more results” won’t work when there’s grouping. How do people get to the next page of results when grouping enabled then?
