A bit background of my website. 40,000 pages approx in total. 38G disk (Now 43G) before installation of Ajax Pro.
Fear of using too much space, I have not created index engine on Ajax Pro, I am currently using regular engine.
Do I need to create index ?you mean in my case it is possible that cache may take up 5g, cache is temporary file, it stay there, but will be updated over 7 days or more days when new cache generated ?
Where can I find directory/folder for cache, just wanting to verify it.July 19, 2021 at 12:25 pm #33988Well, the database cache is not managed by the plugin, so I don’t know how it is stored. It is stored somewhere on the server, but I honestly don’t know where to look for it.
But, if you have not generated the index table, then it should not be the issue. The regular engine does not store any additional information, it uses the original database table.
Can you try downloading the
Best,wp-contents/uploads/asp_upload
folder, and check it’s size? It should contain all the files generated by the plugin. There are a few CSS files, some temporary files and cache when it is enabled. But it should not contain 5G of data for sure, may a few MB or so.
Can you please check that?
I want to make sure there is no issue there.

July 19, 2021 at 1:42 pm #33990wp-contents/uploads/asp_upload is not a issue.
contain 4 files. all of them CSS, no more than 1 M.
July 19, 2021 at 2:29 pm #33991I don’t understand then. The plugin does not store any other files, only in that directory.

Try looking for the database backup files as I mentioned earlier, those may contain the old index table backups and that could theoretically take the space on the server.

Question 1. Where could it be located (directory/folder), let me find it and show you with photo.
Question 2. My custom complain, site search engine is much slower than before after upgraded to Pro from Lite.
When using Lite, after type in keyword or phrase, results show say perhaps 3, 4 seconds.
When using Pro, after type in keyword or phrase, some results may show 8-10 seconds. Visitors go away.Any solutions or suggestions ?
July 20, 2021 at 2:21 pm #34012Q1: I don’t know unfortunately where exactly the database stores cache/backup, that is a server related matter. It is definitely not the web folder, it is somewhere else on the server. You might need to discuss this with your server administrator.
Q2: It depends on a lot of things. You can read this article to fully optimize the configuration.

1. You don’t need to delete, just make sure to deactivate it. If you delete, it will not affect the pro version in any way.
2. It is an update notification as you can see. It comes from our vendor (codecanyon.net), where you purchased the plugin.
3. That might be a server issue – as you can see the file gzipped is 25K, it should be loaded within milliseconds or less. For better javascript performance, you can check our guide here. Switching to the new script sources (“Minified” instead of “Legacy minified”) will greatly improve javascript performance.
Best,
For the absolute fastest asynchronous script loading, you can choose the “Optimized asynchronous” script loading method.
