    Hi Justin,

    Make sure that the Return pages option is not enabled here: https://i.imgur.com/vsqbepx.png

    Hi,

    They are labelled under the “Ajax Search Pro” tab, when adding a new element: https://i.imgur.com/jEoL8R5.png
    I hope this helps!

    Hi Phil,

    I looked up that feature, and seems like it’s stored in a custom field, which means that this should be possible.

    Try creating the following filter: https://i.imgur.com/A5ry9AH.png
    I am not sure what values are stored there, but I assume it is either 0 or 1. In that case this may work.

    in reply to: Drop down order #24370

    Hi,

    Oh okay, I see the problem now – the database stores this information as “strings” not as numeric values, and in that case the order is basically correct.
    Well, the best way would be to either enter the values manually, or rather use the slider filter – as I am not sure if it can be resolved without editing the code directly.

    Hi!

    1,2 – The overflow can be disabled by changing the filter boxes max height to none, here: https://i.imgur.com/Uu4XXvP.png
    3. Well, there might be a workaround via custom CSS, but it may not work in all cases:

    .asp_filter_tax {
        width: 100% !important;
        min-width: 100% !important;
    }

    .asp_filter_tax .mCSBap_container {
        display: flex !important;
        flex-wrap: wrap;
    }

    .asp_filter_tax .asp_option {
        margin-left: 0 !important;
    }

    It will result in something like this: https://i.imgur.com/b8S3aVi.png

    in reply to: Third criteria for result ordering #24365

    Hi,

    Sorry about the late response, I must have missed your ticket by accident.

    I’m afraid that is not possible, at least not without major modifications to the core code. The custom field ordering requires a sub-select query as well, it cannot be simply added to the order clause.

    A simple order criteria (like title, date etc..) might be possible to add though via a small custom code snippet.

    in reply to: Drop down order #24364

    Hi Matt,

    It should get them in ascending order by default. Do you happen to use Advanced Custom Fields plugin by any chance? In that case, the plugin requests the values from ACF, and returns them as they are requested.

    in reply to: Search in following user meta fields #24363

    Well, this is the main reason this feature is programatically disabled. Each meta query needs to run as a sub query in order to check the individual fields per phrase. In smaller databases usually it makes no difference, but it exponentially slows down as it grows.

    in reply to: issue with floating search icon #24356

    Hi!

    Thank you very much for your kind words.

    1. Unfortunately this is not possible, the plugin can only access the local database.

    2. Sure! You can either use a widget, that is visible sitewide, or you can also use a custom code with the plugin shortcode.

    Try adding this custom code to the functions.php in your theme/child theme directory. Before editing, please make sure to have a full site back-up just in case!

    add_action('wp_footer', 'asp_print_search_footer');
    function asp_print_search_footer() {
        echo do_shortcode('[wd_asp id=1']);
    }

    Make sure to have the correct shortcode within the do_shortcode function call on line 3.

    in reply to: Searched words not highlighted on result page #24351

    Hi Axl,

    Unfortunately that is still not possible, and I am not sure if it will be ever implemented, due to some inconsistency issues.

    The search issue might be only an apostrophe storage problem. If you try S'il Vous Plait (this uses a different apostrophe), it seems to be returning a result.
    If that is an issue, then a possible solution would be using this tutorial code, and changing the variables as following:

      $characters = "’";
      $replace_with = "'";

    Hi Denis,

    The issue was present, because both the Lite and the Pro version of the plugin was activated. They can conflict, as they share some code. I have deactivated the Lite version, now it should be okay.

    in reply to: Search in following user meta fields #24345

    Interesting, I cannot seem to be able to replicate this fully. I have an idea though. Please try adding the following code to the functions.php file in your theme directory:

    add_action('asp_query_args', 'asp_query_args_meta_changes');
    function asp_query_args_meta_changes($args) {
      $args['user_search_meta_fields_separate_subquery'] = 1;
      return $args;
    }

    This should force a separate keyword logic for the meta queries in the user search.
