ParticipantHi earnest, Since i already paid when i created this topic and the issue is popping up because of the software change from your end, please reply and do not simply close this to make me pay again for asking the same question. I would hate to give a bad review!
I could no longer find wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-pro/includes/classes/search/search.class.php
So where do I go and change more than 6 or 7 keywords to be chosen.

ParticipantHi Ernest
How to trigger the same search? Presently, if I press enter the second time (keeping the same keyword), it does not re-trigger the search. You need to refresh the page to re-trigger the search. How should it be done?

ParticipantOk. One more important thing. I am using isotropic search layout. It works fine but on phone, per box result seems too big. Is it possible to take care of the mobile display specifically? Like showing only one result box at once on phones only? Desktop version is perfect

ParticipantSure sir.
I have one more question. Is it possible to change rank of users for any keyword? Like if i want user a, user c & user e to be on the top of the list rather seeing the ranking like user a, user b, user c, and so on.
I am working on a job website. So i want specific people (with good resume skills) to rank above others. In short, is it possible to change ranking?

ParticipantYou cannot access this content.

ParticipantSeems i could not explain myself well. Sorry for that.
So, iam using user search based on the user bio content. Now if any keyword is more than 11 letters (or characters), the search fails to search those users.
So if i am searching for ROME, it will do. But if i search for MASSACHUSSETTS, it will give no result as this keyword has more than 11 letters (or characters).
Is there any hook that can let me to increase maximum allowed character for a keyword?

ParticipantHi there. Thank you. But still bit of a confusion left.
Q 1) Its already set as AND logic. See, its like this:
User 1: User bio content: Apple Orange Banana Guava
User 2: User bio content: Apple Banana Guava Orange
So if somebody searches for apple banana, only user 2 should come because apple banana are together in the content (one after the other. Immediate)
If somebody searches for apple orange, User 1 should come up as the entered words are mentioned one after the other.
So is there any way where pair of search keywords are matched the user bio where its one after the other, Continuous.
Q2) I have post tags turned on in ajax search pro autocomplete as you mentioned. Still it does not show up. You mentioned about the fact it may be under different taxonomy. Can you throw little more light on it?
Thanks

ParticipantHey i figured that out. So ignore that question.
But here is a question:
While the search results are displayed, i want the profile field to be displayed as well. I an configured the search for a profile field called “about me”, so i want the about me information to be displayed in the search results drop down too so that users can decide which one of from they should click on.

Participantone last thing. How to let the search algorithm ignore all the connectors like The,a,at,on etc ?

ParticipantI am using a 14 gb ram dedicated server. Do you suggest that performance will not hampered by increasing the limit from 6 to 25?

ParticipantHi
I have done all the research on keyword logic. I am using And with exact match. Let me explain myself again. I want search to happen in user bio so that the results are shown only if all the words matches. Currently its matching up to 6 words. Any random 7th word or even 8th word mentioned is not matched. So if for example, a user bio has list of all the countries in Asia. I want that profile to show up only if all the countries name (keywords) mentioned are in Asia. If even one country is mentioned out of Asia, the result should not show up. This was just an example. Please help!
