It seems to have done the trick! Now simple products appear as they should in the search results, and only the variations of the variable products appear. 🙂 You have been very helpful, thanks Ernest!

TomI’ve just tried that (after you recommended it), and while it solves the issue for variable products, simple products are now no longer displayed (for obvious reason). So unfortunately this solution won’t work. Perhaps this is something you can solve in a future update? Meaning separate sources for simple products, variable products, grouped products, etc.?
Hi Ernest, thanks as always for your prompt reply and I apologize for not thinking of adding the variations to the search source. Honestly I haven’t really touched the settings of this plugin since we launched our website, and the company that built the site for us did the initial configuration.
I added the variations to the search source, and the variations now appear in the search results. But, the parent products still appear. Is there a way to hide parent products and only display the variations? Simple products, bundled products, etc should of course appear normally.

The buttons reverse issue has happened again after the update to version 4.24. Please compare our staging site where I have updated the plugin, to our live website which still has version 4.23.3.https://dev2.wildguitars.co.il/

Thank you for this important clarification. Indeed the URL you provided results in an extremely long search time. The odd thing is, that on our staging website the results are much faster – only a few seconds.

Please download the following video that I have recorded for you, demonstrating the search time on the live website using the default search (https://www.wildguitars.co.il/?s= ) vs. the Ajax Search Pro bar. This is with all plugins on and everything running normal.

The code you provided solved the issue in desktop view, so thanks for that. But, I forgot to tell you that the issue also occurs on mobile. Can you please give it another look? I suspect a different code will be needed for that.Also, do you know approximately when the next update will be? I just want to set a reminder for myself as there is no way that I’ll remember that I need to remove the temporary code.
