ParticipantThank you for the prompt reply, Ernest! And for providing the requested setup.
Page views would have been the ideal ordering for my situation, it’s a shame it isn’t possible.
If I set it up according to sales number, what will happen if for example none of the search results have sold through the website?November 11, 2021 at 9:56 am in reply to: URGENT: Products disappearing from search results after updating them (4.21.4) #35502wildguitars06
ParticipantOf course, go ahead!

ParticipantHi Ernest, the re-indexing did the trick! Thank you for the tip.
1. This is the first time that I have had to re-index since we launched our website a few years ago. Should I have to expect to do this after every change to a product, or was it a bug that you fixed?2. It looks like the search results aren’t sorted in order of “popularity”. Is there a way to ensure that the most in-demand/viewed products appear first in the results?

ParticipantHi Ernest, I just installed the latest version. I’m not sure how to re-create the index…should I click on “Create new index” or “Continue existing index”?
In any case, our web hosting company has whitelisted your IP address so you can now access the FTP.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Ernest, thank you for the prompt reply! It turns out that our website blocks FTP access from non-Israeli IPs, and I need our web hosting company to whitelist your IP address. Please provide this address at your earliest convenience, if you’d rather send it via email, my address is [email protected]

ParticipantThanks so much, Ernest, I will b sure to go over the documentation.
Have a great weekend!wildguitars06
ParticipantThanks for the instructions, Ernest, I will do exactly that!
Before you close this ticket, may I ask one final thing from you?
Ever since we launched our WooCommerce website in 2018, customers have been complaining that our search is slow. The Ajax Search Pro plugin was installed from the very beginning. Perhaps you can perform some searches and provide your expert opinion on the speed of the search? I know that there are many options/settings to play with, and I don’t want to touch (and break) anything.
Best regards,

ParticipantThanks so much for the prompt reply, and for taking care of this!
Perhaps you can tell me what you fixed, so that I may do it on the live website immediately after updating the plugin? It will be difficult to synchronize the fix on the live site with you, due to potential time zone differences, your busy schedule, etc.wildguitars06

ParticipantThank you for your prompt reply, Ernest, I really do appreciate it. Apologies for not noticing these errors…as I mentioned I am not a web developer. 🙂 I will pass this information along to my developer and will let you know if I require any further assistance.
Best regards,
