Sorry for the delay. I’m finishing version 2.3 this week, it looks stable right now. I’m attaching a copy of it to this post. It should eleminate the issues you are having with the vertical results + there is a new result layout called “Polaroid results”. It’s most likely buggy a bit yet, but feel free to test/experiment with it.
Installation: The best option is to overwrite the files in the plugins/ajax-search-pro folder via ftp, after extracting the zip archive.
You also might need to delete the searches you have created earlier, I haven’t tested for backwards compatibility.Hi!

Turns out it was just an incosistency with the database. I opened the “new” search, saved it again, and now it’s returning results 🙂

This might sound silly, but I think I have found the reason (not the solution yet). I must tell, that I’ve never ever in my life seen a faster WordPress, than yours. Basically the results are there, but the javascript can’t syncronize the values with the animation (the ajax request is coming in under 300 milliseconds, which is 2.5 times faster of what I have ever seen)
I will try to change some values on my local server, to see if I can reproduce this, and hopefully post the solution in a couple of hours.

Have you tried changing the template or disabling all the plugins temporary (except buddypress and search of course)? All I can think of is, that maybe some other plugin is conflicting with the search.
I will take a look at your configuration as soon as I get close to a comp (in 2 hours), right now I’m only on my phone.

I’m not sure when did you download the search fom codecanyon, but about 12 hours ago I uploaded the bugfix to codecanyon for the bbpress private messaging. can you please download and try that?
No, I just changed the shortcode from “wpdreams_ajaxsearchpro 1” to “wpdreams_ajaxsearchpro 2” in the header.php, but nothing else 🙂

You were using the old search that you have created with version 1.8. (you should have deleted it first, it was stated in the documentation) I created another search named “main 2” and changed the shortcode in the header, now it looks just like on the dev server 🙂

Thank you for the information, I’m not sure why is this happening. Can you look at the error log, it’s maybe still there. (usually error.log files in the main folder of your site)
I’m looking at the svn changelog right now, but I can’t think of anything causing that.
Is this occured only on the frontend, or on the backend as well?Can you perhaps send a copy of the template and list the plugins you were using? I maybe can reproduce it on my local test server.

May I ask you how many records (posts/pages) do you have in your database? The low load time is usually due to a very large amount of posts.

Well that’s a good question. Strange thing, it works differently on my multisite test server. Perhaps I should change that section (force it to use the correct site somehow) in the upcoming version. I’m glad you figured this one out, I was running out of options 🙂
Yes, exactly. If one post has more than one category associated, then the search will show the post as result, unless all of the categories are ecluded, that are associated with the post.
For example:
The post “Test” is in “category 1” and “category 2”. If you exclude “category 1”, then the the “Test” post will still show up, because “category 2” is not excluded. However if both “category 1” and “category 2” are excluded, the post will never show up as result.
