KeymasterHi,
The search results page is out of the scope of the plugin – it’s handled by your theme. Usually the best starting point is to make a child theme and modify the search.php file or the appropriate handler for the results page. Unfortunately it varies from theme to theme so there is no single good tutorial to go by.
Most themes do have options to change the results page archive, so for minor changes I suggest looking for that first.March 26, 2024 at 12:13 pm in reply to: How to show BP Xprofile fields in user results – Part 2 #47586Ernest Marcinko

KeymasterYes – please keep that custom snippet, it should work from now on.

KeymasterWhat do you mean by custom taxonomy terms?
For example categories, tags – those are taxonomies. You can create your own custom taxonomies as well – it’s basically a group of categories. It’s a neat wordpress feature to have separate groups for separate purposes.Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
There is actually an option for that on the back-end to make the settings “hovering”, here: https://i.imgur.com/D55lF7n.png
That should do the trick 🙂

KeymasterHi,
I’m afraid that is not possible for the permalinks. Your setup seemt to be okay, but I’m not sure what the “menu_item_url” custom field contais, that is very likely not the item URL.
I recommend attaching the items to custom taxonomy terms, that is probably the best case scenario here.

KeymasterThanks!
I was using the IP address, that didn’t work, now it’s fine. I managed to find the problem and fixed it. This was a yet unknown issue, so I will make sure to fix it in the upcoming release.
