Luckily the issue was very minor, the index table engine was not selected, and the regular engine was not sufficient to execute the request. I switched to the index table engine (much better and faster), now it should be okay.
Well, i typed in “kirche” then hit enter, then I got redirected to the results page and then the browser scrolled to the “Kirchen” part, exactly like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjaOpv_Yhxo
It highly depends on the browser and operating system, some devices may not work with this feature unfortunately. I was testing on Windows + Chrome, Edge and Firefox, these worked okay.
Make sure to clear your browser cache just in case.
Check your exact match configuration – if you have “complete match”, that means the complete field must match the phrase, and there is no item matching “test de” as their complete title or content field. For that to match you need to choose the default anywhere.
