KeymasterHi,
Sure! I will start the process. It will be processed within the next 5 working days (usually faster, within 24 hours).

KeymasterThank you very much!
I tried to connect, but I’m getting a timeout error. That usually means either the port or the IP is incorrect. I tried the default ports, both SFTP and FTP as well as port 2222.
Can you please check if the IP is correct or if I need to use a different port? I suspect it might be different from the default port (22).

KeymasterThank you Alícia, my mistake!
The settings seem to be all right. Do you use any customizations, custom codes or anything related to Ajax Search Pro by any chance? I’m asking because even empty requests return an error, which usually happens when there is an issue with a customization.
If not, then can you please add temporary SFTP details? I will have to debug through the search process to see where it fails, there is probably an error message which will lead to the solution.

KeymasterYou are welcome!
Well, the archive pages are not controlled by the search, those are automatically generated by WordPress and then handled by the theme.
While this is out of my support scope, I will try to help you out.
It is possible to hook into the query and probably make them first via the pre_get_posts hook. I have also found this plugin, you can try it, although that may conflict with the actual search query. It might be better to have it custom coded though, this shouldn’t be difficult at all, and then you don’t have an additional plugin to take care of. I suspect it’s probably a few lines of code only to change the archive queries. I usually recommend this service for customizations and code requests, they are very professional and helpful.

KeymasterHi Alícia,
Thank you very much for the details, it helps a lot!
I tried to log-in to check the settings, but the username or password is incorrect. Can you please check that?
It’s probably something in the configuration, I will verify that for you.Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi!
1. Sure! This custom CSS will do that:
.asp-try { text-align: center !important; }2. There is probably an inherent rule that’s affecting that, but no worries, this can be fixed for sure. Try this:
.asp_ss form { .asp_label, .asp_option_label, legend, label { color: white !important; } }Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
It is possible to prioritize the featured products, but it’s only possible within the Pro version as it requires the priority groups feature. Luckily no coding is required whatsoever. Here is a detailed step-by-step tutorial with screenshots on how to set it up exactly. If you need help, let me know and I will set it up for you.
You can actually import your settings from the lite version. Most of the settings import should be seamless, it’s not perfect as there are differences in the two versions, but it should do the trick.
If you need help with setting up specific styles as you had it in the Lite version, let me know, I can very likey help with it.

KeymasterHi!
Thanks for the details, it helps a lot!
Okay, so from what I can see is that you have a search on the results page, which basically should be auto-started whenever the results page is visited, right? That should be resolved via the auto-populate feature. I believe that’s what you are looking for.
Also, I may recommend turning off this option, so that the results area never closes when the user clicks away.

KeymasterThat worked, I was able to log-in, but I can’t change the settings because I get another warning when I try: https://i.imgur.com/DaTtgcw.png
Can you please check that?I may need temporary SFTP access as well. I suspect there is a yet unknown issue in relation when the max number of results is set differently for the drop-down and the results page. It is very likely specific for your case becasue of the high number of keywords (over 10 million).
If it’s possible, I would like to debug that to see what is going on.February 5, 2025 at 2:04 pm in reply to: Ajax search result vary with WordPress search result. #52762Ernest Marcinko
