ParticipantHi Ernest,
My humblest apologies! I have just checked – and strangely enough the Adv Gallery Block does not show up those duplicates at all from across the media library images… which it should do – as it would have picked up the issue straight way – without having to “leave” the page I am working on! – so didn’t think that was the problem – I usually always delete a batch from bottom of media library in bulk as I enter a new batch at the top – so somehow didn’t check the top end as well – too many late nights!!!
Feel free to delete this post – since it doesn’t add value to your help database at this time!
PS – your search plugin works really well – and I should hopefully be adding some new sites before long…
Kind regards – and best wishes for 2023!

ParticipantHi Ernest – you are absolutely correct! It works in icognito mode – and when I adjusted the zoom to 100% it worked fine in normal mode. Browser functionality issues! Thanks again for your help! Can close ticket.
Kind regards,

ParticipantErnest, before signing off this ticket – could you perhaps help me with one other issue I noticed on doing checks with my Chrome browser – using Inspect to run checks across different devices, etc.
https://prnt.sc/U-Rfzf2wbj0Q
I have refreshed the page and cleared all data from the cache, etc. but the search doesn’t load as it should. It is missing the 3rd column?
I am using Firefox and everything works and resizes correctly, but am not sure what is causing the problem on my Chrom browser?
Thanks,
Sallysallyg31
ParticipantTx Ernest for sorting this problem for me. Will let you know if any further issues arise.
Kind regards,

ParticipantHi Ernest,
Please could you check the screenshots below. “Mobile search” is now a huge problem with changes you have made as per above custom coding, because I was using Title + Caption in bold, linespace and text below with leader dots…, which worked brilliantly. I haven’t made any custom changes to the site in the past month or so. This problem occurred with the latest bug fix for Page Update problem. Not sure what went wrong regarding search results as it appears now?

ParticipantHi Ernest,
Thank you for fixing the issue. Much appreciated! All looks fine and I have downloaded the attachment for when I take the site live shortly. The search plugin works extremely well and I hope to set up some additional search sites soon. Thanks again – and you can close ticket!sallyg31
ParticipantHi Ernest – thank you so much for your time and help. I shall adopt that approach from now on – and then hopefully most issues will be resolved with that process going forward. Thanks again!

ParticipantHi Ernest – thanks for quick reply. I did what you requested and reinstalled the update again. It worked perfectly this time – and site search also working fine. Thanks – that solved the issue. I normally leave plugin as is – and then install over existing plugin. I haven’t used the WP plugin manager and don’t use FTP – and it seems to automatically replace the existing with latest version. Do you recommend that I delete existing version first, before loading new installations? I am a little bit confused now? But thanks – I am glad you could help resolve this error issue for me.

ParticipantHi Ernest – thanks for your speedy response! If I deactivate and then delete the plugin – before installing the new one, will that not lose all the settings, etc. with the new installation? I always just override the existing download with the new one. What procedure is best to use for each update? Tx

ParticipantHi Ernest,
Thank you for your response – and for pointing me in an alternative direction! I will look into that option – and if I have any further issues, I will get back to you. Have a good weekend!

ParticipantHi Ernest – just to let you know I popped in the code you provided – and the increased mobile sizing works just great!!! Thanks for your time and trouble! Can now attend to populating content, etc. 🙂

ParticipantHi Ernest,
Thank you so much for resolving this issue for me. It works brilliantly now! I had started setting up another Test instance – trying a process of elimination with different settings, etc. but I would have struggled to figure this one out. Very grateful indeed. I can start to build content now…
I have just another small problem I cannot sort easily.
RESULTS TITLE LINK FONT & DESCRIPTION TEXT FONT:
https://prnt.sc/139FO2fVvALM
Regarding the above – I would really like to make just the MOBILE text larger for the search results, i.e. from 13px to 18px, but making the change on the above settings, also changes the caption font size for tablet and laptop, which obscures most of the image beneath the overlay – so I want to keep those settings the same as default. I probably need to add some CSS coding, but struggle to identify the relevant ajax code relating to mobile image caption text font from the Inspect Q box. Perhaps you can help?
Thanks again,
Sallysallyg31
ParticipantOk. No problem Ernest. Thanks for checking from your side.
I am currently in contact with Kadence support concerning some design issues, but will submit a new ticket if I need further help.

ParticipantHi Ernest,
Thank you for your return and input. Having also looked at your docs explaining the updates and licensing issues I have now worked out the best way forward concerning this. Your input is invaluable!Regarding the Mobile behaviour that puzzles me – not a big problem, but maybe this will help explain the issue. Under Themes & Styling:
https://prnt.sc/-o0A9vL1-Cs3
On desktop – when clicking a result image to a website URL – on returning back to the search results, the caption still appears on the image result.
On mobile/tablet – when tapping result image to a website, on return back to search results, the caption is not visible – until you tap on another result image.
Is this a trigger that relates to your search plugin capabilities, or is this just standard mobile behaviour?
On the other hand, I could just deactivate the button to “Off”- and then the captions stay on permanently. i.e. Under Theme & Styling, Isotopic: Turn the – Hide the content when overlay is active to “Off” ?
I hope this helps to clear up the confusion!
I have also turned off the “Show overlay on mouseover” to make it simpler.
Kind regards,
Sallysallyg31
ParticipantHi Ernest. Thank you for resolving the issue. The problem was “no results” showing in preview and live – but seems to be working fine now! With our technology behind the scenes nearly completed, I just want to check that if I push the site through from staging to live soon, would that not carry through the Ajax Plugin with your modifications in it? Or would I still have to overide the folder on the live site? I use Softaculous to move plugins, files, databsase over to the live site – and can’t see why it would take all the changes through that were on staging. I just want to be sure?
I would also need to know that once I go live I would want to push the site back to staging periodically to test new updates, etc. – but NOT on the LIVE site, so that problems can be addressed, should things stop working properly – as things often go wrong in the field of programming. Will I be able to use the same license on both staging and live site for the same domain name?
I also have another issue I really hope you can help with before starting to input the real content, etc.to be displayed on the site.
I have tested the search results on my mobile. I would like there to be consistency between the desktop search results and mobile results. However, I cannot see a way to do this under your Mobile options – as when the image result is clicked to another site, on clicking back to our site, the caption has vanished. I would like the caption to remain as it was if possible. I also see that the magnifier only becomes visible, when returning to our site – so is there a way around this issue? If Mobile results could work the same as desktop – that would be really great! Thanks for your help Ernest. I am hoping that once this all works well – then I can set this up on more sites with your search function across different industries in due course.
Kind regards,
Sally -
