ParticipantYour responses have been quite helpful. I have one more question about the behavior of Ajax Search Pro with regard to GTranslate.
It would be nice if a query made on a translated page was returned on a translated page. For example, if I search for the word “quail” on this page:
https://gmoresearch.org/de/advanced-search/
I would like the results to be displayed on a translated page:
https://gmoresearch.org/de/?s=quail&asp_active=1&p_asid=3&p_asp_data=1¤t_page_id=14432&qtranslate_lang=0&filters_changed=0&filters_initial=1&customset%5B%5D=gmo_article&aspf%5Bpublisher_name__3%5D=&aspf%5Bauthor__4%5D=&asp_gen%5B%5D=title&asp_gen%5B%5D=content
instead of this:
Is this possible?
Thank you!

ParticipantHello Ernest,
Yes, I know that users can enter anything in a text field. That is what I want. In a database with 2600 posts it is not practical to create a drop down list for authors or publishing institutions.
My question is how do I make the text fields behave like the search bar? I want a user to be able to type something in one of the text fields and press enter to search only in that custom field. For example, I have a custom field called author so I want a user to be able to enter an author name in the corresponding text field and press enter to search only the author custom field. The problem is, nothing happens when I only enter data in the text field. The search mechanism requires data to be entered in the search bar too.
I hope this clarifies my problem.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Ernest,
This issue is resolved too. I tested several full title searches with duplicates and they are all returned correctly.
Thank you.
