I’m sorry, I forgot to save the options on the back-end, my mistake.
The problem was the the “Category/Taxonomy terms logic” options was set to “At least one of the selected terms should match” – meaning that at least one of the selected categories must match the post in order to display. I remember changing the option before my previous answer, but I must have forgotten to save it.
It should definitely return much more results now.
