Hi,
i ike the plugin. But it will not show only the posts from same category. Although I have specified it in the settings.
Example: On this site https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/ (category “holidays-australia/au-2017”) the related article will be https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-india/in-2017/meghalaya-2017/ (category “holidays-india”) or https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-canada/ca-2017/northwest-territories-2017/ (category “holidays-canada”).
I only wanna display:https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/ (display all from category “holidays-australia”)
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/ (display all from category “holidays-australia/au-2017”)
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/tasmania-2017/ (display also all from category “holidays-australia/au-2017”)How is that possible? Thanks for your help.
DirkNovember 9, 2016 at 2:54 pm #10804Hi!
Thank you for the details, I checked your configuration, it looks correct.
However I’ve looked this page in the back-end: https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/
This is not categorized anywhere, there are no categories, see the back-end: https://i.imgur.com/Ts93Vrv.png
Pages doesn’t have categories in WordPress as well, only posts and other custom post types as defined. The plugin displays results, because for pages the category filter doesn’t apply. And even if it did, in this case it would return 0 results, because of the missing actual categories unfortunately. The “holidays-australia/au-2017” is only part of the permalink structure, it does not define any connection between the elements unfortunately.
Best,

November 9, 2016 at 3:29 pm #10806Hi Ernest,
thanks for your answer. So it will help if i change
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/from page -> post and assign the categories accordingly ?
November 9, 2016 at 3:31 pm #10807Cause the categories are exists: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161109/zpcicmrs.jpg
November 9, 2016 at 6:00 pm #10814Or i can use the option “Look for content from the same tags only” also. I did add tags all here https://www.holidayomat.com/en/tips/holidays-australia/. But if i change to “content from the same tags only” it will be shown no related articles. Please also have a look at this.
Thanks a lot
DirkNovember 10, 2016 at 10:15 am #10824Hi,
please have a look on my site:
I did choose “Look for content from the same tags only”. Here you see all the tagged post’s: https://www.holidayomat.com/en/tips/canada-2017/ but also they will be displayed indian post’s: https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-canada/ca-2017/ .
What is wrong? Thanks for your support
DirkNovember 10, 2016 at 12:03 pm #10826Hi Dirk,
It’s not going to work that way either, because pages don’t have tags.
For example this page:
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/tips/canada-2017/ (page)
Does not have a tag or a category, because it’s a page, so the related posts widget displays based on other fields. However for example, here the category match will work:
Best,
https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/new-south-wales-2017/ (post)
Because this is a post, and it’s categorized, and all of the related posts under it are in the same category (australia 2017)

November 10, 2016 at 3:14 pm #10827Hi Ernest,
thanks again for your help! I did some changes:
This https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/au-2017/ i did change from page -> post. Also i did add tags and now it will work! Also i did install plugin “Tag Pages” which make it possible to add tags to pages. That i did here https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/ Tag “Holidays Australia”
Also i did tag this post https://www.holidayomat.com/en/holidays-australia/adelaide-cup/ with Tag “Holidays Australia”But on this sites it will not work perfect!?
Can you have please a look.
Thank you!
DirkNovember 10, 2016 at 3:25 pm #10828Hi Dirk,
Your configuration looks almost perfect, and the “Tag pages” looks like a good solution.
There was one thing though. The “Adelaine Cup” page was not relevant to the “Holydays australia” page directly by content keywords, and the fill options was turned off, so I have turned it on: https://i.imgur.com/7xcq4fi.png
Best,
Now it should display items from the same tag, even if there are no matches.
