Hi,
I’ve updated Ajax Search Pro from 4.20.8 to 4.26.1.
The drop-down with search is broken.I’ve cleared the cache, disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and tested with Twenty Twenty-Three theme.
The only combination of settings that is able to temporarily resolve the issue is when I set the Style (CSS) loading method to Inline.
https://prnt.sc/UI-vEE8aOZNNEven with this setting, after several times of page reload the drop-down with search is broken again. Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/pybTTF6XOATD
Correct dropdown with search:
https://prnt.sc/IGpihVKCgDy9
https://prnt.sc/96yrYIHN_tYjI also noticed that after using the “Save all tabs!” button at the search instance the problem is temporarily fixed.
If you reload the page several times again the issue comes back. There are no JS or PHP errors in console and debug.log.
Any suggestions to resolve the issue?
Thanks in advance.
March 17, 2023 at 1:52 pm #41829Hi,
4.20.8 is massively outdated, about 33 versions behind the current release. It is possible that the update did not succeed and some data is inconsistent.
Best,
I recommend doing a plugin wipe (via maintenance submenu) and installing fresh. That will resolve the problem.

March 17, 2023 at 2:02 pm #41831Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
In that case: If I export my search instance and re-import it after the plugin wipe, would it be functional or I’ll have to set it up from scratch?
March 17, 2023 at 2:05 pm #41833You can try that sure, but if the inconsistency is within the instance options then it may fail too.
If if fails, then you may need to go from scratch instead.Usually updates from 10-20 versions behind are not an issue, but after a certain time we are not able to test all the possibilities.
Best,
