Lighter version for improved performance

Is it possible to create a lighter version of the plugin some how? I am thinking about deleting all of the design side for the plugin as I do not require are visual options for either the search bar. As well as removing all coded involving the search results appearance as I am using wordpress standard search results. My key goal is to speed up page loading and search results.

Any help would be extremely appreciated, even if you can just confirm the files to delete,
