    Hi there:´

    We have a WordPress site, width Divi theme, both blog and Woocommerce setup.

    We installed Ajax Search Pro following the documentation instruction, created index table with options we needed. Everything worked fine, we were able to search posts, pages, other content, like products category or tags, but the one thing we were really interested, searching by individual products, like you can do with youd demo, we couldn’t.

    We tried several actions:
    – Deleting the form and started over, searching again documentation and knowledge base.
    – Delete index table and recreating it with every options enabled.
    – Disable index table, and use regular search, wich we configured not only following the documentation, but also looking to your demo config site and copying it.

    In any case, we can only search by products categories, tags, or other content (if we add it to the sources list, of course), but if we enable only in sources “product”, no products are shown.

    We tried enabling every option of the plugin, so we can search in anything, but products cannot be shown.

    We tried disabing plugins but anything changed.

    We would like to know if there is some issue or some workaround that need to be done to use search to see only products.

    Hi!

    Thank you for the details, I was able to find the problem quickly, by checking your configuration.

    Everything is configured correctly, your configuration is okay, the problem was related to Polylang. By default the Polylang compatibility is enabled for Ajax Search Pro, so it displays elements only from the currently active site language.

    However it becomes problematic when there are items which are not registered under any language. The products are not supported by the default Polylang, and after the search post process, they are removed. Luckly, there is an option on the back-end to turn off Polylang compatibility check. I’ve turned this option off for you, it should be working now: https://i.imgur.com/LHbom8I.png

    Sorry about the inconvenience, I know it’s nearly impossible to find out in cases like this, what the problem is. I’m working on a different possible solution for the upcoming release, to somehow detect if the items are not translated by polylang at all and include them in the results anyways.

    Hi!

    Thank you for your quick reply and for the solution. I tried so many parameters that I lost focus and didn’t realize this about this issue with Polilang although now it seems pretty clear to me and really understandable.
