Hello there

I have a question about search logic.
I have a product category called “Wohn- & Esszimmer”.
The problem is that it does not find the category if you only enter “Wohnzimmer” as a keyword in the search bar.
Even if I omit the hyphen in the category (Wohn & Esszimmer) it does not find the category with the keyword “Wohnzimmer” either.
The problem occurs with AND and OR.
Is there a solution to the problem or do I have to rename the category to “Wohnzimmer & Esszimmer”?

Hi!

The problem is that the keyword ‘wohnzimmer’ does not match ‘Wohn- & Esszimmer’ in any way. However, I believe there is a much easier solution. On the category editor screen, you can enter a term description. I suggest using that field to enter the full name of the term: https://i.imgur.com/AC23eHo.png

After that, just make sure that the search in term descriptions option is enabled: https://i.imgur.com/bhcuosg.png

This should very likely do the trick.
